About the Author

A Brooklyn, NY native who has always been artistically inclined, Ijlal wrote his first poem/ literary work at the age of 12. He spent most of his teen and young adult years mostly drawing and illustrating. Ijlal discovered his ability to convey his creative imagination on paper, then canvas, then wood...and even fingernails. He never limits himself to a single art medium. Ijlal found his passion for writing and storytelling while living in Philadelphia. He entered a short story competition-along with his sister, and realized the images and thoughts of his imagination could also be put into words. A new world of creative expression opened for him, and the stories soon followed. His writing goal is to immediately captivate the reader within the very first paragraph, making every story a page turner. He has completed his first novel (the first book of a trilogy), a graphic novel, and his very first published work, 'L.O.S.T-Lovers Of Story Time'. Ijlal is a loving husband and father, who currently resides in New York.
